Outdoor Coffee & Conversation Hour
You are invited to Good Shepherd’s Coffee and Conversation Gathering taking place every Monday morning from 10 to 11 am. Meet new friends, as well as connect with old friends over conversation and treats. Come for coffee and other beverages, donuts, conviviality and conversation. In the summer months we meet outside in the front lawn picnic area. Please invite friends! Start your Monday mornings here at Good Shepherd where everyone is welcome!
Wild Worship: Sunday Morning Outdoor Worship
Sunday mornings at 10 am through September 14. Enjoy Sunday Morning Worship all summer long under a beautiful “cathedral of trees,” and celebrate a season of beauty, welcome, and thanksgiving for the gift of the land and trees that hold us as we gather. Some highlights of outdoor worship:
Sunday, July 19 – Christmas in July: Enjoy festive Christmas season music with a tropical twist (Hawaiian themed potluck picnic following worship).
Sunday, July 26 – Pride Sunday: Good Shepherd celebrates the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
Sunday, August 16 – Blessing of the Animals: All creatures great and small are invited to attend worship and receive a special blessing. All animals and people are welcome!

Evening Prayer, Peace, & Popsicles
Every Wednesday at 7 pm, June 24 through July 29, we’ll gather in the Good Shepherd Garden for a cozy, casual summer gathering for all ages! Enjoy a short worship service featuring Holden Village’s Bless This Night liturgy, pass the peace, and relax with popsicles under the summer sky. Gather with new and familiar friends to slow down, build relationships, and enjoy summer evenings together. Bring a lawn chair or blanket if you’d like and come as you are!
Christmas in July Hawaiian Themed Potluck Picnic
Sunday, July 26 after worship. In keeping with the tropical “Christmas in July” theme, we are having a Hawaiian inspired potluck picnic with tropical theme dress and food.
Country Fair Pie Festival
Sunday, August 30 at 11:00 am. Everyone is invited to Crary Fellowship Hall after worship for a Country Fair Pie Festival during Hospitality & Fellowship hour where you can sample a number of pies (along with ice cream or whip cream).
Garden Harvest Party
Sunday, September 13 after worship. We welcome the fall season with a Garden Harvest Party where e will harvest vegetables that we planted at the Spring Garden Party (the kids will especially be excited to dig up the potatoes that they planted and help put the garden to bed for the winter). No one is too old or too young to help, so put on your play clothes and join us in the garden area after worship when we will reap our garden produce and ready it to be delivered to the Thurston County Food Bank and its clients.
