Evening Prayer, Peace, and Popsicles (EP3)
Wednesday Evenings, June 24 - July 29
Summer can feel beautifully full (and from time to time, a little scattered). This year, we’re creating a gentle midweek rhythm to pause, reconnect, and be together!
Beginning Wednesday, June 24, at 7 pm, come and enjoy Evening Prayer, Peace, and Popsicles in the Good Shepherd Garden. Think of it as a cozy, casual summer version of Good Shepherd’s Advent and Lenten midweek gatherings: a short worship service featuring Holden Village’s Bless This Night liturgy, time to pass the peace, and, of course, popsicles shared under the summer sky.
We will gather together every Wednesday through July 29. Evening Prayer, Peace, and Popsicles is for all ages, and we hope it will be a chance for kids, elders, and everyone in-between to spend time together, build relationships, and enjoy the beauty of summer evenings at Good Shepherd. Bring a lawn chair or blanket if you’d like and come as you are. We can’t wait to see you there!
Additionally, we will be adding the following special activities for the upcoming gatherings:
Wednesday, July 15: Pizza Potluck before EP3
Bring your favorite pizza at 5:30 pm to enjoy and share before Evening Prayer. Paper plates, forks, Caesar salad, and chairs provided. BYO drinks, lawn blankets, and good cheer.
Wednesday, July 22: Briggs Taphouse EP3 Warmup
Meet at the Briggs Taphouse at 5:30 pm for informal food and fellowship before Evening Prayer, Peace, and Popsicles at 7.
Wednesday, July 29: EP3 Holden Village Theme Night
Wrap up our summer with Bless This Night Evening Prayer, Peace and Popsicles with a celebration of Holden Village. Wear Holden gear if you have it and bring EITHER a favorite or funny Holden memory OR a hope you have yet to realize for a visit to this beloved North Cascades retreat center. Never hear of Holden Village? Super! Wear and share memories of your own favorite outdoor summer destination/s.
