The Good Shepherd Community

It’s Good Shepherd’s mission to share the love and grace of Jesus Christ with all people and to invite them to fullness of faith in God.

CORE VALUES

WE ARE:

• Inviting and Welcoming All God’s Children

• Seeking Love and Justice for God’s Whole Creation

• Growing in the Lutheran Christian Movement

• Building Authentic Community

• Daring to Change for the Sake of the Gospel

WORSHIPING AT GOOD SHEPHERD

Worship is just one of the many ways Good Shepherd is being formed and reformed by God’s everlasting and ever-creative love! To make worship accessible to every age, Good Shepherd offers a variety of worship experiences, including a mix of contemporary, traditional and occasional contemplative worship services. The sanctuary has a children’s area right up front for kids to play and worship. They are the best seats in the house! For children who need a break during worship, a staffed nursery is available. Visit the Upcoming Worship page for a full schedule.

CHILDREN, YOUTH, & FAMILY (CYF)

Good Shepherd’s Children, Youth, and Family Ministries provide opportunities of engagement in areas of faith formation, through education, leadership, worship, fellowship, fun, and service within Good Shepherd and the South Sound area. From faith formation on Sunday mornings, to youth activity nights on the third Sunday evening of each month, to discussion groups, to game nights, to opportunities to learn about the Lutheran faith, to coming together in service, there are many activities for children, youth, and all kinds of families this season at Good Shepherd! To learn more about these programs, events and activities, visit the CYF Event page or join the CYF email list by sending a message to Heidi Prince, Intentional Interim CYF Coordinator, at heidi@gsolympia.org
