PENTECOST SEASON WORSHIP
SUNDAY MORNINGS: 9 AM FORUM • 10 AM WORSHIP • 11:30 AM SUNDAY SCHOOL
Enjoy Sunday Morning Worship at 10 am in Good Shepherd’s beautiful sanctuary. A play area next to the worship area will be available for the youngest among us. A staffed nursery is also available in Room 114. A recording of the sermon will be posted on Sunday afternoon here on the website home page and on Facebook and YouTube. The pre-worship Forum and Children/Youth Activity Time begins at 9 am, Hospitality & Fellowship coffee & treats immediately following worship in the fellowship hall, and Sunday School (Pre-8th) begins at 11:30 am in Room 114.
Sunday Morning Forums: On Sunday mornings at 9 am, we will have a number of forum presentations on various topics as well as special informational gatherings for the Good Shepherd community for adults and youth. There will also be a free play Activity time for children and youth in Room 114 during the forum.
Activity Time: On Sunday mornings at 9 am, children and youth of all ages are invited to Activity Time in Room 114! The focus will be on building relationships and creative play more than education, with a combination of free play, organized group activities and time for conversation. It will be a lot of fun, and a great way to make new friends and develop lasting friendships at church!

We are delighted to invite members, friends and neighbors to celebrate the installation of Rev. Brenda Satrum as Pastor of Community Life! The worship service with Holy Communion begins at 4 pm (clergy are invited to vest in white or rainbows and to process), followed by a salad potluck. If you’re traveling, dinner’s on us! 9 am Forum – God as Father, for Christ’s Sake. Led by Pastor Brenda Satrum. Seek a wholesome and healed understanding and connection with God (and each other!) through the image of Fatherhood in the Bible and Christian teaching. Psalm 103 and the Prodigal Father of Luke 15 open our experience via art and the writings of spiritual teacher and mystic Henri Nouwen.

9 am Forum – The Society We Want: Where everyone Belongs and Everyone Can Thrive. Led by Rev. Terry Kyllo, Executive Director of Paths to Understanding and ELCA Pastor. Many of us feel it – division, exhaustion, and distrust are pulling us apart. Rev. Terry Kyllo will explore what is happening beneath our political and cultural conflicts and why people are feeling vulnerable. Drawing from social research, Scripture, and years of bridge-building work, he offers a hopeful and practical path forward with how the church can contribute to the renewal of society with the strategies of Bridging, Blocking, and Building.

Summer Outdoor Worship Under the Trees!
Sunday Mornings, 10 am Beginning July 5 through September 6
Enjoy Sunday Morning Worship all summer long under a beautiful “cathedral of trees,” and celebrate a season of beauty, welcome, and thanksgiving for the gift of the land and trees that hold us as we gather. A recording of the sermon will be posted on Sunday afternoon here on the website home page and on Facebook and YouTube.
There will be no 9 am Learning Hour Forums or Activity Time during outdoor worship season. Chairs will be set up in the lower grass area as well as in the upper parking lot/mezzanine area (please allow those with mobility issues to have first priority seating in the upper parking lot area). You are also welcome to bring your own chairs. A staffed nursery will not be available, however, there will be various outdoor play areas adjacent to the worship area for children. Be aware that the morning temperatures can fluctuate as well as the shaded area, so dress accordingly with layers, and use sunscreen and/or head protection if needed. Hospitality & Fellowship coffee & treats immediately following worship in the parking lot.
In the event of inclement weather, worship will be moved inside to the sanctuary. An email notification will be sent out and a notice posted on the Good Shepherd website by 8 am Sunday morning.
