UPCOMING WORSHIP & FORUMS

A play area in the sanctuary and a staffed nursery will be available in for the youngest among us. A recording of the sermon will be posted on Sunday afternoon here on the website home page and on Facebook and YouTube. Hospitality & Fellowship coffee & treats immediately following worship.

Learning Hour Activity Time for children & Youth every Sunday morning at 9 am (through June 15). Children and youth of all ages are invited to Activity Time during the 9 am Learning Hour! The focus will be on building relationships and creative play, more than education with a combination of free play, organized group activities, and time for conversation. It will be a lot of fun, and a great way to make new friends and develop lasting friendships at church!

  • 9 am Forum – Loving the LGBTQIA+ Community

    • About the Forum: Over the past few months the LGBTQIA+ community has come under heavy assault by the current administration and its supporters. Executive orders, dismantling Diversity, Equality and Inclusion programs, anti-LGBT bills, removing websites and information sources and other actions are causing much harm and fear within a June 15 (continued) community that in the last decade had enjoyed increased widespread support. Such actions are in strong opposition to the welcoming values our congregation upholds in our welcome statement. One part of our welcome statement reads: “The Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd Welcomes All People: People of all sexual orientations and gender identities.” In this forum, several members and/or allies of the LGBTQIA+ community at LCGS will help us reflect on that statement. We will revisit our commitment to this community and provide ways that we can support and ‘hug’ our queer family members, friends, neighbors and the community at large.
