Sages Gatherings
Come join in for fun and fellowship with the Sages!
Sages is a group of Good Shepherd seniors who gather for special programs, socializing, snacks and spiritual camaraderie. The gatherings are to open to anyone regardless of age. Sages meets every other month on the 2nd Friday in Good Shepherd’s fellowship hall at 1 pm (except for potluck gatherings which start at noon). Sages Ministry Presents "Cooling Thurston" – September 11
The Sages Ministry welcomes Janet Nazy to their next gathering on Friday, September 11 at 12:30 pm in Crary Fellowship Hall. Janet is the Executive Director of Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT), who will give an interactive presentation on heat illness prevention. Did you know that the #1 weather-related killer in the U.S. is HEAT?
The Pacific Northwest is particularly vulnerable because we are not used to extreme heat, and we are not prepared for it. Few people have cooling in their homes. We don’t know the heat illness symptoms to look for, or what to do.
