The Sages Ministry welcomes Janet Nazy the Executive Director of Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT), who will give an interactive presentation on heat illness prevention. Did you know that the #1 weather-related killer in the U.S. is HEAT?

The Pacific Northwest is particularly vulnerable because we are not used to extreme heat, and we are not prepared for it. Few people have cooling in their homes. We don’t know the heat illness symptoms to look for, or what to do.

Sages is a group of Good Shepherd seniors who gather monthly for special programs, socializing, snacks and spiritual camaraderie. The gatherings are to open to anyone regardless of age. Sages meets on the 2nd Friday of every other month in Good Shepherd’s fellowship hall at 12 noon.
