Joyful Anyway Book Discussions

Join Pastor Carol Tomer for conversations about Kate Bowler’s latest book, titled Joyful Anyway. You may remember her first book, Everything Happens for a Reason (and Other Lies I’ve Loved). Here’s a bit about her latest book: “We live in a culture convinced that chasing happiness will optimize our bodies, our minds, our relationships, our lives… We are left wondering why, if we’re doing everything right, life still feels so hard…. Joy reminds us that, no matter what, life is still worth loving.” You can obtain a copy of the book by borrowing it from the library or a friend, or by buying it at Browsers Bookshop. We’ll gather on Monday, July 13, 6:30-8 pm (discuss Parts I & II), and Monday, Aug. 3, 6:30-8 pm (discuss Parts III & IV). These gatherings will be held outside at Good Shepherd, weather permitting. If it’s too hard to hear each other, the gatherings will move inside.
