Summer Hikes for All Ages: Building Belonging One Step at a Time
We look forward to building a sense of community and belonging one step at a time through these enjoyable monthly summer hikes led by Good Shepherd folk. Come join in to enjoy nature, fellowship, and light exercise suitable for all ages!
Join in on the next summer hike on Saturday, August 15 at Millersylvania State Park, a casual summer stroll of about 3 miles through the magnificent trees. Meet at 9:00 am at the Good Shepherd parking lot to carpool (apprx. 30-minute drive south from the church). Or meet at the trailhead parking lot (located on the far side of the park near the Deep Lake boat launch.) We’ll plan to start the hike at 10 am. NOTE: Each car will need a Discover Pass. Water, hiking poles, cell phone are all great items to bring with you. You may also want to bring your lunch and maybe even a swimsuit to enjoy the beach after our walk together. Questions? Ask hike leader, Susan Berry at 206-482-2441 or susanjberry@comcast.net.
