Seeking Full-time Children, Youth, and Family (CYF+) Staff Member

Good Shepherd is searching for a full-time Children, Youth, and Family (CYF+) staff member. This full-time position is made possible through a blend of our general budget (which previously supported a half-time CYF role) and generous commitments from our Joining God’s Momentum campaign.

To invite a diverse and dynamic pool of both ordained clergy and gifted lay leaders, we have developed two distinct role focus areas. While we will share two job descriptions, our intent is to discern and hire one full-time minister whose gifts best align with where God is leading us:

Option 1: Leader or Pastor of Growing Faith & Inclusion

This role focuses on guiding our outreach to the marginalized, while leading our Children, Youth, and Family programs. (full job posting link on www.gsolympia.org/jobs)

Key Focus: Dismantling barriers to participation, building intentional community partnerships beyond our church walls, and curating safe, relational spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can heal, grow, and belong.

Option 2: Leader or Pastor of Faith Formation

Key Focus: Creating safe, inclusive and barrier-free spaces where individuals and families can connect, learn, and thrive together in their journey of faith.
