How to Share a Post on Facebook

Good Shepherd’s Facebook page contains posts of all current and upcoming gatherings and events as well as news stories and posts from other ECLA related organizations. Facebook is an easy way to share Good Shepherd information with others, but some may not know “how” to share that information, so here is a step-by-step tutorial on “how to share a post on Facebook”:

How to share a post on Facebook:

Privacy settings of the original post: Original post must have chosen the ability to share the post with Friends; otherwise you may not see the option to share it. (All posts on the Good Shepherd Facebook page are “public” and are viewable to everyone).

To share the post you see on Facebook:

• Below a post (bottom of post) you see “Share” option, click Share.

• Select where you want to share the post. Depending on the post's privacy settings, you may see several options: Share now, Share to Feed, Share to Your Story, Send in Messenger, Share on a friend's profile, Share to a Page.

Share now

The post will be shared to your Feed and timeline with your privacy settings. You may be shown a variety of ways to share - public or friends - or where to share. Before you share it, you can add a description or comment. If the post includes a link, you can choose to share the link by itself, or click next to Include Original Post to keep the text from the original Feed post. You can click the audience selector to change your audience, then click Post.
